Hey LJers,

I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)

I've decided to start journalling again. Well, that's probably not true. How about I've decided to post here today and possibly for as long as I remember to.

So as far as job opportunities go:

-Haven't heard back from my initial interview for Promotions Coordinator at Six Flags in Texas. I followed up today, by leaving a message in which I sounded slightly brain dead. I think she liked me and I think I'm a good candidate - it's just how much my salary requirements and my coming-from-out-of-town-ness will mark against me.

-Won't hear from the DC Opera (for New Media Coordinator) until after Dec 11. I tried to call them as a follow up from my application, but I got slightly intimidated by the automated phone system. Will try again tomorrow.

-Might have a seasonal opportunity with Victoria's Secret just stocking and doing displays - which would really be my ideal holiday season job because I really don't want to be a sales associate ANYWHERE. If that works out, the pay wouldn't be too bad

-Still getting some weekend hours at Six Flags around here driving the van around malls for the next 4 weekends. If the VS thing works out, it would obviously take precedent, and if I hear from any of the full time positions (my first 2 options) they would DEFINITELY take precedent

Also - my German final exam is Wednesday (for those of you who haven't been following my life this would be to put my music major on my transcript since I already have marketing on there) and I really need to do very well on it. I'm going to need lots of luck and lots of help.

Well, that's about it. Wish me luck with the job searches, I'm going to need it! Keep your fingers crossed that I get either the Six Flags in TX job or the DC Opera one. Fingers crossed and good vibes and any good luck anyone can give me!
